Duncan Chater

Duncan Chater is the European Managing Director for Bloomberg Media, with responsibility for the commercial performance of the business and its continued growth across the region leading both strategy and global sales. He is based at Bloomberg’s European headquarters in London and oversees a team with responsibility for Programmatic and Advertising Sales, along with business development across Europe.

He was named International Media Leader of the Year for two consecutive years by Mediatel in 2022 and 2033, as well as being awarded Commercial Leader of the Year at the British Media Awards.  Under his leadership, the business recorded 10 consecutive record quarters since he joined in February 2020, and in the process doubled commercial revenue in the region.

He has been a regular panelist and speaker at events including Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Vivatech, The Media Leader and many more industry events.

Duncan has spent the past 20 years in various roles within the global media business.  Prior to joining Bloomberg Media he held roles at Hearst Media as Global Vice President of Hearst Digital Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Brand Officer.
