What would you say you are doing on a day-to-day basis to ensure equity exists within your organisation?

I cherish that we have 4 generations represented in the workplace and we do not look at gender when filling new positions.

Would you have any recommendations for future female leaders in the industry?

‍

Surround yourself with people filled with passion and learn from everyone regardless of gender and age. Be sure to have networks both inside and outside the industry.

Can you tell us about a project that you’ve worked on or led where you have ensured equity?

‍

It has never been a project but rather a philosophy for me in my business management that the composition of our staff represents both genders and many generations. However, we have worked very purposefully to get young women and men into part-time jobs in order to introduce them to working life. It has been a long process that is now starting to bear fruit - and our workplace is starting to be a place you want to work not just a place where you can work.

My passion is to lead people so that they understand themselves better, make informed choices, develop skills and take responsibility. I am filled with energy by motivating employees to use their personal skills and development as the driving force to achieve a common goal. I am a competent communicator who knows how to capture the listener and differentiate my communication. I have extensive experience with networking and am quick to create a trusting atmosphere.
