Cologne's musical heritage is diverse and runs through many different genres. Electronic music is the home of the independent label "Modularfield," founded in 2014 in the Mülheim district. To not let the multi-faceted music history be forgotten, the label has conceived the "Popular Music Tales": The tours are accompanied by artists whose music was released through the label. Label founders Markus Scholz and Stefan Liehr give insights into Cologne's music history around Jazz, Electronic music, and Krautrock that the Popular Music Tales thematically take up.
