With this document, we would like to familiarise you with the data landscape of the tourism sector. The data can help you make more data-driven (policy) choices.

The guide is divided into three levels:

1. Basic data

2. In-depth data

3. 'Big Data'

At the top of each level, there is a brief explanation of where the relevant level is. You can also look up a specific topic using the various subheadings. For each topic, we show example questions that the relevant source can answer.

The guide provides insight into the following per level:

• For which (policy) question should I go to which source?

• Is the resource I need free or paid?

• At what (regional) level is the data available?

• If available, the link is also available directly according to the source mentioned.
