Diversity Meeting Planning

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is no longer a nice to have - it is a must have. Not only is it morally and legally required, but it is good for business.

According to a recent study by Boston Consulting Group (BCG), inclusive workforces are more productive, innovative, have more engaged employees, and a lower turnover rate. What some do not realize is inclusion benefits all.

When DEI programming is a priority, the percentage of all employees who

are happy increases by 31 percentage points, and those who feel motivated increase by 25 percentage points, according to BCG.

Interestingly, all Fortune 100 companies have made a commitment to DEI;

destinations and hotel companies are following their lead.

There is no denying it, DEI is front and center, and the most successful

meetings and events have diversity and inclusion as a focus. But there are

many facets to diversity that include race, ethnicity, age, ability, gender, sexual orientation, neurodiversity, and more.

In this guide, we focus on organizations, cities, and venues that intentionally set out to include every participant, regardless of their physical or mental needs. In addition, we highlight properties that offer high service levels to all guests and are also a safe and welcoming workplace for staff.
