With the theme 'Flanders Culinary', we want to focus on the Flemish food and drink culture. This term is broad and, therefore, also accommodates a wide range of culinary experiences. Our eating and drinking culture is characterized on the one hand by local products, typical dishes and specific customs or customs in this regard, and on the other hand by the craftsmanship of our entrepreneurs who – with their drive for quality – have elevated products to iconic dishes and products. Our offer contains both tradition and innovation.

Based on a number of criteria, primary and secondary products have been selected that we want to put forward within our range. By making a selection, we ensure a focus. All other products and dishes that Flanders has to offer are not excluded. On a promotional level, we will initially entice visitors with the primary and secondary products, and then surprise them with other products and dishes

The primary products are already known by the (inter)national tourists and already have a wide range of experiences. The secondary products are less known by (inter)national tourists, but we believe they are typically Flemish and have the potential to offer strong experiences. We have also selected a number of dishes in the same way. The third pillar we focus on is gastronomic restaurants.
