Materials:
Time: 90 minutes
Steps:
1. Review: Briefly remind participants of the challenge and key takeaways from previous stages.
2. Define User Journey:
- Left Space: In the "Our user can..." section, write down specific actions your target user will be able to take thanks to your solution. Focus on concrete and desirable user behaviours.
- Right Space: Don't fill this yet.
3. Set Goals:
- Left Space: Divide the "Short term" and "Long term" sections vertically.
- Short term: List achievable goals you aim to reach within the next 3-6 months related to user behaviour defined on the left. Keep them measurable and specific.
- Long term: Define aspirational goals for a broader timeframe (1-2 years) reflecting user value and overall impact.
4. Connect Ideas & User Journey:
- Place your "Shortlisted Ideas" cards on the right side next to relevant user actions in the "Our user can..." section. Consider which ideas best address each user behaviour.
- Use sticky notes to explore alternative placements or connections if needed.
5. Refine & Prioritise:
- Discuss the connection between each idea and its impact on user behaviour and goals.
- Prioritise ideas based on feasibility, potential impact, and alignment with user needs and goals.
- Refine ideas to ensure they are clear, actionable, and measurable.
6. Next Steps:
- Briefly brainstorm initial steps for implementing the prioritised ideas.
- Prepare for the next activity (pitch and low-fidelity prototype) by identifying key elements and messages to communicate within the allotted time.
