Dominika started at UCB on an Events Management Degree. Her drive and ambition has ensured that she achieves her ambitions and goals set. She passed her Degree Award and then soon embarked onto a Masters Programme in Global Meetings & Events Management. She was particularly interested in Leading Sustainability projects.
I was Dominika's Lecturer whilst she studied on modules on her degree and on her Masters. She projected a lovely personality but what struck me was her enthusiasm and keenness to drive forward, be strong herself, but always supported others too. She has progressed to be elected as Student rep on the Board for the Guild of Students.
I am nominating her for her inspirational role achieved as Education Officer for the Guild of Students at University College Birmingham, where she has culminated her passion for Social Sustainability in a Strategic position for improving Student Success. She travels far and wide to bring debate and discussion to the forefront on political and social Agendas, as a young woman herself. She remains highly motivated and consistent, and has been a positive role model for young women wanting to bring change or become future leaders themselves.
Dominika understands cultural complexities coming from a multicultural setting herself, bringing diversity and inclusivity where she can, being independent with her strong personality & team ethics brings her accolades and achievements that she can be proud of. She leads with strong values as a young person wanting to make a difference, making changes that matter and contribute to a positive outcome.
