Jasmin Brinkmann started her professional career with Visit Düsseldorf in 2019 by joining the company for an apprenticeship in tourism and leisure. Despite her initial shyness, she mastered her training during the challenging Covid period, showing a high level of initiative while working from home. This time strongly influenced her development.
After successfully completing her apprenticeship in 2022, she was taken on as Junior Manager Travel Services. Thanks to her outstanding work and tireless commitment, she has since been promoted to Manager Travel Services. She is a self-confident and responsible young employee who is in charge of central tasks in our department.
Her customer service skills are outstanding and she looks after some of our most important key accounts in the European river cruise and coach tour operator segment. Her tasks include putting together customised tours, looking after our partners and settling accounts with cooperation and service partners. She is also responsible for the newsletter mailing to our freelance tour guides and coach tour operators.
Thanks to her helpful and patient manner, she has also taken on the task of familiarising new colleagues with the team and is the first point of contact for our new trainees. Her next goal is to obtain a training licence so that she can train apprentices in our company herself in the future. She is thus following the inspiring path from trainee to trainer and making a significant contribution to the further development of our team.
Her impressive development and outstanding commitment make her a worthy candidate for Digital Tourism Think Tank's International Youth Day.
The rapid progression of Jasmin's career at Visit Dũsseldorf is a testament to her capability and the confidence she inspires in those around her. The fact that she has transitioned so naturally from being a trainee to becoming a trainer also demonstrates her maturity and ability to not only undertake her work to a high standard but also be a mentor in guiding others to follow in her footsteps.
Having responsibility for key accounts shows that she is someone who can be trusted to take on more responsibility, especially in what is a key sector for Dũsseldorf's tourism industry and also speakers to her communication skills, essential in today's workforce.
